I’m gonna say I did not enjoy this book. But that’s not what it sounds like. What I mean is it roiled my emotions more than many a book has of Kate.

In other words I recommend you read it.

It’s the fact that many of the situations in the book are understandably negative situations. So the feels I felt were negative emotions. So I don’t enjoy negative emotions. So kudos on that.

Book 3 is a bit of a disappointment. Uneven application of the stated worlds laws.

Interesting mathmatical programming premise

Listening to audio book on kobo. Not read in monotone as such. More each sentence seems to have the same tone and modulation. Lots of characters. Lots of tech details that make up this universe, not always in service of the action

2 for one deal

Two chapters in. Too much exposition. Too fast. Too much info being dumped.

Got to be a good writer when the build up before means the following sentence is a tear jerker. ‘I have the best friends’

Chilrens names given as male then female order rather than age or alphabetical.

Dogs will know not to trip a trip wire with a simple explanation.

Luckily this is a free book. Lots of explaining things in a macho way. Prob thinks enlightened. But the « she slipped back inside without having to be told to keep the kids safe from the intruders. She knew that much at least» kinda is a put down. What is his wife loose a few screws. Hate the kids or what.

I’m quite enjoying this.

These books are getting increasingly short as I have to skip whole chapters now of pretty explicit sex scenes

3.5. Titled like it’s sci fi. Starts like a detective novel. After a good few chapters it changes abruptly into fantasy. Dark fantasy of a sort.

Who knew, after wading thru a sewer all you need to do is in change clothes and u smell good.

Also, if you enter a place thru a skylight and need to dislocate a shoulder to fit thru it. Then you can exit the same way.

Like a description of a movie as it unfolds in painstaking detail of the things on screen.

Jenna does not run when wetted. It dues the skin in a temporary tattoo. Neither can you just wipe it off your face with a hand or sleeve.

Best one yet. Warmed my heart.
