Already within two chapters the main guy has been described as "rugged" twice! ...Twice!

No no no. Don't read this. Book club pick, so I'm going to finish it. Cliche statements, unbelievable conversation and interactions. I'm just hoping it gets better.

I can't stand any of these characters, but I'm too far into quit now.

Not a fan. How does one "sit tersely on the bed"? Word choice, honey. Also, I'm pretty sure most suicides by hanging don't have an open casket.. but I'm committed to finish this one for book club.

THIS IS SO GOOD. Listening to audiobook.

I'm 99% sure I knew who did this murder as soon as (before, even) it happened. Still an enjoyable read, and I've been known to get it wrong before...but I would be shocked. If I'm right, this is not the best mystery. Stay tuned.

This book has gotten so weird.

After listening to the first 15 books read by Steve West, I can't help but have his voice reading this to me in my head!

I just realized that this is the author of "Birth of Venus," which I picked up at B&N multiple times years ago but never bought or read. I think I'm okay now with not having read that book...

This book could use some editing.
