Listening with the kids because this was free on Audible. This is surprisingly not bad.

Not my usual vibe, but I'm digging it.

Almost there... This has not been my favourite.

It's nice. But it's clearly not gripping me how long it's taking me to get through this audiobook.

Omg I'm dying of boredom

This is such a disappointment.

A visually scary but pretty decent immortal guy tolerates an annoying morally rigid human girl who keeps accusing him of being evil.

I'm pretty sure this isn't the reading the author intended, but I'm weirdly here for it?

Need an easy palate cleanser and this was at the library.

Hard to make progress as I keep falling asleep listening to the dulcet tones of this contralto audiobook narrator.

The first act was a bit of a snorefest, tbh.

But now that we've got emotional conflict, I'm in.

Gotta say, this is tougher reading during the Epstein Files news cycle. Disgusting subject matter. Beautiful storytelling.

Next day, after lunch, I went to see "our" doctor, a friendly fellow whose perfect bedside manner and complete reliance on a few patented drugs adequately masks his ignorance of, and indifference to, medical science.

Bloody brilliant. Hilarious but also doing so much narrative work.
