We've discovered that Scott's going to have a younger brother! It's not all good news, Mouth, Scotts friend tried to hang himself from a ceiling fan because no one likes him. He didn't succeed. the fan broke. Scott also found out that his older brother Bobby has a lot of trouble reading. Scott is starting to get more popular, and the play he is in is starting up. I think Scott will get Julia by the end.

Scott has been covering basketball, wrestling, going to play practice, and balancing his homework. He gets hazed for being a freshman and interacted with one of the biggest hazers while in the office picking up files. Scott started small talk with Wesley Cobble, and gets several rides to school with him. He ends up quitting student council, I think this will be easier for Scott, and things will gets better.

Its been a while since I've read, so I went back and reread a bit. Football has ended and Scott is now covering wrestling and Basketball for the school paper. Scott is also becoming better "acquaintances" with Lee, the freaky green haired girl with piercings, black shirts, and creepy poems. Scott also tried out for the school play and failed horribly. I think Julia has dropped on his priority list.

I finished this book in one day over Easter break, with 3 hours of reading I loved it. It tells of some hysterical stories and misfortunes of the author. Some stories were so funny I laughed out loud on a plane and people began to stare.

I took a lot of annotations these couple chapters. It had a lot to do with the Tom Robinson case. Discussing it with friends and scout breaking up the angry mob that wanted to lynch Tom and hurt Atticus. The trial finally happened and Atticus's defense of Tom Robinson was solid, he poked holes in the accusers case and yet it seemed the court and the jury still favored the lying white man

Jem is growing up and becoming a young man, there have been several instances of racial intolerance. Aunt Alexandria has come to visit. Dill ran away and I now back in maycomb, and concerning Atticus's case a large angry mob forms outside of the jail supposedly wanting to beat up the black man he's defending. Scout disperses the crowd, and was what I think to be a great help to Atticus.

Jem and scout are being teased because Atticus defends black people. The went to spend Christmas with family and we found out Francis is an awfulerson. Atticus is getting pretty old to and we learn it is a sin to killa mocking bird. We learn that Atticus has some impressive shooting skills. Scout and Jem encountered the ill and foul mouthed mrs. Doubose, they learned a lesson from her then she passed away.

Jem and scout are being teased because Atticus defends black people. They went to spend Christmas with family and we found out Francis is an awful person. Scout started the 2nd grade, she's unhappy because she still can't read or write in class. They found 2 wooden dolls that resembled scout and Jem. Mr. Nathan plugged up the tree hole. Mrs. Radley died in the winter. It snowed for the first time, and mrs. Maudie's house caught on fire. I think the neighbor hood will be supportive of them families that lost their homes.

We have been introduced to a lot of characters and know the history of scouts family. Scout started the first grade, it didn't go so well. She is still learning what is socially acceptable. They are still taking an interest in Boo radley, they also found 2 polished pennies. Which are worth a lot in the time of the Great Depression. I think they will try to return the pennies.

Scott went to the school dance, but didn't dance at all. He's been having kind of a ruff time with the Julia situation, he really likes her he just doesn't have the courage to talk to her. I still think Scott will end up winning Julia.

Scott's older brother popped in for a little while then split in a hurry, his mother was upset about it. Scott also ran for student council and won, Julia didn't thought, that was a let down. He has started to lighten up a lot on the small human situation. I think Scott will improve on the social skills at the up coming school dance, maybe even dance with the worshiped Julia.

Scott is lightening up a little bit on the baby situation but is still not very accepting. He has joined the school paper in hopes of getting noticed by a pretty girl by the name of Julia. He noticed that his friends are slowly starting to drift away. I think he will get better at writing articles for the school paper, lighten up with the baby, and get the attention of the gorgeous Julia.

I have gone back and reread several passages that I have thought to be very funny/witty. The narrator is a sarcastic freshman that is trying to survive high school. He finds out his mother is pregnant and he will become and older brother and a middle child. He proceeds to write a guide through high school for his unborn sibling. I think the young quirky freshman will lighten up as he adjusts to the changes.

Tobias and Tris get much closer and they spend quality time together. Tobias goes into his fear simulation with Tris and she figures out that Tobias's father abused him, and figured out why they called him four. Tobias goes to the abnegation sector to warn his Marcus (the leader of the abnegation) about the attack the eriodite and dauntless are planning. This is a prequel to Divergent so I know how it ends.

I went back and reread a couple parts of the past chapters.
Tobias has been contacting his mother illegally, he has also threatened several initiates for deliberately causing unnecessary harm to other initiates. Al, one of his trainees committed suicide by jumping into the chasm. I think that Tobias will continue to make contact with his mother frequently and that there will be more issues with the initiates

Tobias has just finished monitoring the fear scape simulator for Tris, an innate he is training that he sort of fancies. He has also discover some fishy business going on in the head of dauntless council. Tobias works in the security monitor room whenever he is not training innates, so he has access to footage everywhere in the compound. I think Tobias will get stuck in the middle of these weird occurances.

Tobias went to a intructional computer programming class, and a double date that ended horribly. He also suspected someone was breaking into his apartment and it turned out to be his mother that he assumed dead. She told him that the factions were dividing and he would have to pick a side. I think this foreshadows a big revolution that will either unite the factions or tear them apart.

The Erudite have killed Amar because he was a divergent. They think the divergent are a danger to their system and way of life. Tobias has now finished initiation at the top of his class and is deciding weather he should take the position as a dauntless leader or a innate instructor. I honestly think he is going to become an innate instructor because he enjoys teaching people.

Tobias has defeated Eric in a fight and is now the first ranking innate in his class. He has just finished helping shaunna with her fighting technique and now he is in the fears cape room with his initiation instructor. I think they are going to run a simulation and find the results and figure out where his four fears came from.

Tobias has completed the first day of dauntless initiate,and earned the nickname "four" because he only has four fears. I have already read the divergent series so I know he passes initiation... I sort of cheated and read ahead on the series.

Tris stops the memory reset and survives the death serum, then suffers a fatal shot. Tobias saves his mother and brings her back to join him in the city. Tobias finds out tris is dead and is absolutely destroyed. He wants to take a memory erasing serum but Christina stops him. Now the gang is living outside the city leading somewhat normal lives. This was such a good book and I'm sad to see it end.

Tris and her group form a plan to stop the bureau from resetting the Chicago experiment. Uriah is not going to wake from his coma so Tobias is going into the city to find his brother and mother and spare them from being reset. He also has to choose which one of his parents he spares from being reset. Tris breaks into the weapons lab and disarms the attack, and then she dies peacefully from the death serum.

The bureau is going to "reset" The Chicago experiment by erasing everyone's memories. Tris and her gang are trying to end this and start a revolution, Caleb (her brother) has volunteered to be the suicide bomber to open the weapons lab. I think that more people than just Caleb are going to die.

Tris forgave tobias and they are back together. Tris has taken a trip to the fringe and seen what it really is, and while they were there they got attacked. Also the allegiant are rising up to start a huge war. The Allegiant also took over a wear house full of weapons so they are armed and dangerous. I think Tris is going to rebel against the counsel and help the Allegiant in their war against Evelyn.

Tris is still trying to forgive Tobias for what he's done, in the mean time she has been offered a very important role as one of David's advisors. Even though she hates him.m she still takes the job. She probably sees it as a way to get revenge. She is just now entering the fringe. I think tris will forgive Tobias, but there is going to be a huge upset and a bunch of obstacles. Probably involving David.

Tobias has just helped a group of genetically damaged people blow up the bureau in their pursuit after the death serum. In this endeavor he has critically injured hundreds of innocent people including one of his best friends. Now tris won't even look at him because he didn't listen to her and she turned out to be right about the group. They have prevented a war for now. I think there's a HUGE war coming.

Tris and Tobias have just discovered the government is behind the slaughter of hundreds of abnegation men, women, and children. I think there's about to be another huge war evolving the Chicago experiment and the government and possibly the bureau.

Tris has discovered her mothers journal entries. I find that it is good for tris to know who her mother really was because her mother sacrificed herself for her.
