Unfortunately I do not really enjoy Plato's Republic, which means I'm having a hard time enjoying this novel in turn. I knew they were supposed to be reminiscent of each other (I'm just reading this for the Booker longlist) but this really isn't my thing.

I adore these boys

I've barely even started but we must protect the autistic little butler man at all costs

Oh I just know the main character of this would HATE me

I am unwell

This is delightfully funny. Which I did not expect, but I'm very much enjoying. I'm so entertained

I am distraught

I can't handle this

If a certain thing happens, I'm going to lose it. The suspense has me nearly sick (all in a good way)

I have to say, this is a way different kind of book than I thought it would be based on the cover. But I like it a lotttt

This is exceptionally fun so far

Are we sureeee this isn't a queer allegory? (Either way I am hooked)

What the heck. No. I'm not okay
