A fiction written in the 40's that's a great insight into the views and thaughts of people involved in the first few years of settlement in Australia. The aboriginal viewpoint was well written. I enjoyed the read and will look at others she has written.

A second reading and I still I enjoyed it. It bought up lots of good memories of my father. Loved the chapter "My Rife, My Pony and Me".
