Jesse is 50% done with The Crossing (The Border Trilogy, #2)

Rereading McCarthy’s border trilogy; his prose is severe, prolix, ultra minimal, all in one tale. His unsparing eye on humanity is also paradoxically affirming. Reading him again at 65 ( I was 20 years younger when I started the trilogy) deepens the experience.
