Sometimes, it just the right time. I didn’t realize that 45% of Americans believe in creationism. Another 40% are sort of ok with evolution, but with a deity’s guidance.

Very good, but dense reading. I’ll put it aside for a bit.

Oh boy. 🐠🦑🪼so far, just a delight. Different voices telling stories, so careful readers might take notes…

Man, what a great writer.

Dude can write.

While he surely didn’t deserve to be attached, a lot of the book is a lot of kavitching.

Really good information. Kind of difficult to read for hours.

Starts with promise of intrigue with some tawdry and sad tales of the lobbiest world of the 80s, and then begins to tell pieces of stories of how the industry has evolved. At page 55, it’s clear that the authors hate this world and I am supposed to despise it as well. Not sure that’s gonna keep me for another 450 pages.

Perfect timing to be reading this book.

Whew. Through the AIDS tragedy. Now COVID. Glad I gave the book a rest and came back to it when I was stronger.

Read a few stories by some really talented folks. Pretty good. The genre isn’t my jam, though.

The details, names, etc of the first 100 pages are kind of a slog. Around 150, the stout picks up steam.
