He had a moment where he did not care about his past and did end up killing Ben Moshe helping out the resistance. begins in Paris with the primary protagonist, Elisha, who attempts to rebuild his life after surviving the horrors of the Buchenwald Concentration Camp. The story is also set in Palestine during the year 1947 which is where the most of the story concludes and where he ends up killing Ben Moshe.

He is trying to belong becuase he does not want to return to his childhood home to see everyone and everything destroyed. Still, he doesn't fit back into society, so he decides to join the war and become a terrorist. His final goal is to assassinate this man named Ben Moshe and during the whole book he is trying to build up the confidence to kill Ben Moshe he is fighting his past time with the war and in the end.

Theme: I think that the theme is trying to be accepted and feel like you belong because he was alive during Hitler and was separated from his family and after the war, he was set up with an apartment and lessons that were paid for but then this mysterious man named Gad approached him and offered him a job to become a terrorist for them who is going to make the English tremble. there is a conflict on this page where the main character is shooting at the enemy for the resistance that he joined then he thinks back to when ss officers would shoot at them because he was Jewish but this is after the war and he survived but he has to fight that conflict mentally and find out he is no better than all the ss officers who shot at him a while ago.

She decides to not go home and live somewhere comfortably because they paid for her house and college with a man but then she gets found by someone named gad and she goes with him

This is part in the book were they are getting ready to attack so the setting will effect how the battle goes there is an ocean next to the battle so that fight is going to have something to do with the ocean or ships.

I would slow my reading pace when repeatedly seeing the same name or title. I would speed up when there is an event that is happening for instance when the boy's father is dying and on his death bed I speed up to see what happens.
