A book I've wanted to read for years = last book of the year ❤️

It's just so good. Agatha Christie at her best!

Tried reading this already and couldn't get into it, perhaps the audiobook format will help switch things up

Starting a new Miss Marple mystery! God bless my teenaged self who was fiercely prejudiced against any sleuth who wasn't Hercule Poirot, because now I have the distinct pleasure of hearing an original Agatha Christie tale for the very first time at 32 :)

I'm going to give this one another chance, since it's been 3 years since my first read and, being classic KA, is probably still better than anything Rockton or Cursed Luck-related.

- Wish the time spent in Ireland was more meaningful
- The re-hashed explanations of what the other narrator was doing during the current narrator's turn are redundant. Makes sense if this novella was serialized chapter by chapter, but should have been edited out

I have zero recollection of reading this the first time. Perfect chance to read it again!

Went straight to A Christmas Carol. What a wonderful story! It grows more important and beautiful to me each year. Can't wait to read the rest of the stories. As an aside, the illustrations are gorgeous and full of Christmas spirit! This will be a treasured classic for many years.

Even having been warned, this is not what I expected from RM.

Love the journaling opportunities. And the concept of rededication to life is just beautiful 🖤

The title story is brilliant!

I don't care what anyone else says, these stories are creeepy and get creepier the older you get!

Enjoyable on its own. Not like Christie's writing at all. Description-heavy, different humor, less dialogue. Still holds its own, independent of comparison.

I remember really being impressed by this one as a kid. Can't wait to revisit it!

Beautiful storytelling.

Not enjoying this as much as I thought I would. Having Jericho get over Evie by getting on top of someone else is a disappointing copout and oddly patriarchal coming from Libba Bray. Playing into the Hispanic "siren" stereotype is beneath her too. Continuing because I want to see what happens in Kansas.

This book is so freaking funny. I first read it in high school and years later it popped back into my memory based on the pool scene ALONE. This should be a classic. Love that it was written by a former lawyer too.

Taking a break from sad books after I finish these, I promise.

Great first chapter!

Listening to this one because it wouldn't be available otherwise. I won't critique the reader, although listening has certainly added a different dimension to the "reading" experience. So far though FVS's book lends itself very well to audio!
