Do you know how long it took them to explain why Edmund should save Valentine??!?!? This is when the taking forever to get to the point makes it difficult to read.

Now, to be fair, I understand that is because each chapter was published as a piece in a newspaper, but when it's compiled like this, I do wind up yelling at the characters.

Also: I realized this story is a typical (long) light novel. (prose webtoon)

I am wildly surprised that I'm able to keep track of all the characters. It's a lot. Though, most character things are set up early, though there are frequently things that are referenced that I think are normal knowledge for the time period, but I admittedly don't know my French history as much, though I really like how pitter patter all the dialogue is. It's rare that things are said "plainly" and I rather like it

Welp! We got past the "Kind" part of the story and I was really worried that the "kind" bits wouldn't turn out alright in the end. It kept me interested for a bit! Now, we're going to be on all the revenge bits... Eventually...

There are so many mentions of suicide. I was not expecting that at all.
