I cannot, for the life of me, drum up enough willpower to finish this damn book already.

This is a great book for people who simply love reading -- like, the actual act of making a cup of tea, getting a nice pillow, and sitting down to read -- but don't particularly care WHAT they're reading. Because the content is super boring and man, there is a lot of it.

Why is Goodreads heavily promoting Real Lives of Mormon Wives on Hulu with an aggressive banner ad? This is a BOOK WEBSITE.

This isn't *bad*, it's just so goddamn long.

I might not finish this one. The concept is interesting but makes the story hard to follow/care about. The structure (it's set up like a reference guide in alphabetical order, with "chapters" like "Gun. See also: Weapon" or "Mattress") removes emotion from what should be an emotional, personal story. This feels like an unedited MFA thesis.

I don't know about this. It's a creative swing, for sure, but I don't know if it's connecting.

I have never read a book that outlines full conversations in real time. This is exhausting.
