I have a pinch left of this book. . . After all of the loss, trauma, and devastation I was ready to keep pushing. However, I'm sat down by the occurrence of multiple miscarriages. *Deep sigh

So. . . If I had a critique for this, it would definitely be the author's decision to lean into the Disney-dead-mother trope. My God! *shakes fist in the air. Now, both of these girls out here and done lost their damn minds. Also can't tell you when I tuned out the "muh daddy" statements GAH!!!!

To anyone that has read The House on the Cerulean Sea, does the storyline include any mention of Heaven? I'm just curious because Under the Whispering Door, obviously. . . and now, there's a place called "Heaven" in this book.

I love a good, interesting side character. One who is philosophical - even better!
