Lowk repetitive slop so far

I’ve been avoiding this book for 5 years, after having it be recommended to me by dozens of strangers and acquaintances alike. For whatever reason, I borrowed it on Libby & read half of it in a day. i find it to be rather misogynistic (and homophobic to its one twink character) so far. the writing is very simple and the general plot feels reminiscent of the hunger games.
I guess this is like ACOTAR for men?
