Lowry is as fearless as her main character in her depiction of life "On The Pike" with a crew of wildland fire fighters. This no holds barred story makes you feel like you're in the woods sweating in the face of the blaze with her motley assortment of characters. The fact that Ms Lowry based her story on her own experience fighting wild fire makes it all the more juicy :)
