4/22/2016 Okay, "Help Me Not Be a Human Being" initially hit me as self-indulgent, but now at the end, I find myself wanting to go back and read it again.

Just finished a book that ends in Amsterdam (The Signature of All Things) and am now picking up Donna Tartt's new Novel, which begins in Amsterdam. I've been looking forward to reading this book. So far, no disappointments.

Reading this makes me wish I could live in a world undiminished by the exploitation of resources like the Olympia Oyster. Sigh.

Just finished a book that ends in Amsterdam (The Signature of All Things) and am now picking up Donna Tartt's new Novel, which begins in Amsterdam. I've been looking forward to reading this book. So far, no disappointments.

Enjoying this new work from Elizabeth Gilbert. It's different from everything else I've read by her. I am enchanted by the narrators voice and the charmed by the quandaries of each character. It has swept me into it's pages.

Eek! Next Tuesday, I'm supposed to lead a discussion of this book AND be able to say something thoughtful about the author. Gotta get started. So far so good. Enjoyed the prologue. The mandala image was a nice way to enter the story.

This one will take some time to wade through. I'm interested in the Miller's story and how he pieced together his world view from disparate belief systems. Interested too, in how author uses evidence.
