this book is INSANELY atrocious — to the point where I cannot stop laughing

I’ve been rereading a few of my top rated books of 2023 and, my god, my tastes have changed so much in such a short period of time. A little less than half of the books I rated three stars and above are like two-three stars now.

This is a very slow read for some reason.

I don’t think I have ever seen an author write in way too much detail while simultaneously write nothing of substance at the same time

Guess the author wants to make it clear very quickly that she wants the main character to be quick to judge other women for what they wear :/

someone needs to get this girl’s knees checked. they buckle at the slightest rush of breeze in the air

why exactly do the fmc and her best friend talk like toddlers? Why are they using words like “Doodle-Boo” and “awesome possum”?

I don’t think I can physically finish this book. The writing is horrid

This book is a perfect example of telling and not showing. Nothing is left for the reader to naturally come across, it’s all spelled out for us.
