I'm loving the fact that my English reading skills have excelled to the point that I've been able to take notes at this moment of the reading that will help me out to start planning a (very) basic ad campaign.

Ya recordé de dónde salió la inspiración para la última historia original que comencé a escribir. Solo había olvidado que Soledad lo vivió primero...

Esta segunda lectura se siente como un reencuentro con un buen conocido del que tienes un gran recuerdo. Estoy volviendo a descubrir por qué me gustó tanto cuando lo leí hace varios años.

I've just felt like this book is that teammate that never leaves you behind when you fight for making your goal a reality. I could even consider this book as my peer throughout the year because I wanna re-start my acting goals from the foundations I built some time ago.

"When you find things you genuinely enjoy, don't let anyone else make you feel bad about it. Don't feel guilty about the pleasure you take in the things you enjoy. Celebrate them." (pg. 81)

I had to restart this book reading one more time because it's been a while ago since the last time I've read it. Now I've found more helpful tips about sharing my work online - even though sometimes I just feel this impostor syndrome that stops me from sharing anything related to my interests. I'm thinking about applying some exercises shared by author - I'll tell you all when I get started on that!

Páginas 24-30, 32.

This last interview to Sean Gunn has been a helpful resource of tools for beginners! He retreated the harsh reality of struggling actors and makes me keep down-to-earth when it comes to the future opportunities to come as well as keeping my art active.

This last part of the book includes some interviews with fellow actors and actresses - but I haven't got hooked by these. I haven't even finished reading the first interview :(

Following Jenna Fischer's acting journey has been a very moving adventure. Since I've been an aspiring actress who had to pause their prep now I'm feeling like having some tools to start a more strategized plan to reach some goals I've had since I started my own journey to become a professional one.

Uh-oh there are some topics discussed before page 178 that I would like to dig deeper into later. 👀

These last pages are almost all about the casting process Jenna went through to make it to The Office and it was so wholesome to learn how she got along very well with John Krasinski.

Pages 123-124: "[...] but it was still about planting seeds from way bacl¡k [...] My teacher was right: People remember good work."

The last few pages made me recall when I got my first callback ever -and only one so far- and met not only enthusiast fellow actresses but many new things that were a learning opportunity.
I'm also highlighting these pieces of wisdom Jenna shares in page 101 - "[...]sometimes you have to be the crazy one to get noticed" and "[...]the one ingredient that was helpful in making me less nervous: experience" in page 105.

"La locura depende [...] de nuestra narrativa. Somos la historia que nos contamos de nosotros mismos; lo que nos marca no son los hechos sino las interpretaciones emocionales que damos a los hechos y las narrativas que creamos con base en dichas emociones. Si bien la sesión solo cuenta una parte de la etapa de prosperidad del país vecino de arriba (y me cuestiono el éxito en cuestión), encontré interesante el papel de la libertad de culto en su desarrollo como nación. Había varios datos que desconocía de su historia (aunque sea difícil de creer, desconocía el Destino Manifesto).

A veces se me olvida que la repetición de varios temas es para darle ese toque de sesión de terapia a la lectura.
Otra cosa a resaltar de lo que acabo de leer... tener siempre un plan B, C, D, los que hagan falta cuando queramos proponer un cambio.

La tercera sesión tiene un final sumamente incómodo que me hace cuestionar: ¿cuál es la responsabilidad de la mujer en la educación del macho altivo que critica el autor, si la mujer también ha padecido los daños que causan los estereotipos que tienen al país donde está?
Sin embargo, algo que me agradó de la segunda sesión fueron las menciones del Virreinato.

El subtema "Construyendo el traumático laberinto de la soledad" que comienza en la página 120 es una gran descripción de lo que es la lectura hasta ahora. A pesar de que me parece un tema relevante, tal vez soy yo pero me parece un poco repetitivo a estas alturas.

A pesar de que el autor menciona varias veces la tesis de este libro, menciona nuevos datos que a veces complican un poco mi lectura, y estoy considerando hacer algún apartado en alguna libreta para dar seguimiento y no perderme tanto.
