Right off the bat I’m annoyed that the FMC smells like jasmine, which is exactly the same as the FMC from book 1. There are 15000 other scents the author could have chosen. Very few women smell like jasmine, and very few men even know what that smells like and could identify it.

By far and beyond her best book

I am obsessed. This book has me in a CHOKEHOLD.

I am honestly disturbed by this authors obsession with heroines who are between 90 and 100lbs. The fact that she goes out of her way to have it explicitly stated in each of her books. Grown women are not supposed to weigh so little.

“Which is worse, a life of servitude or death?” These women are saying they’d rather die than be homemakers. Get a fucking grip. Most women I know wish they could be stay at home wives and mothers. That’s the fucking female dream.

I’m struggling. This is a massive man-hating bashes set in Sicily. Full of HORRENDOUS stereotypes that portrays Sicilians as ignorant stupid apes living in the dark ages. Wtf

Ive decided I dislike this author and after finishing this book will never read her stuff again. The blatant political agenda thrown into a romance novel is repulsive. No one cares

This is actually the trashiest piece of trash I’ve ever viewed with my eyes. The book about a love story with a pillow is more moving than this

This is probably the worst writing I have ever read. It’s laughable actually. The author has the literary skill of a 7 year old. I wanted to try another dark romance after “Haunting Adeline,”but wow this is a joke. I’m not even triggered by the r@pe and torture because of how poorly written it is.

I’m happy to report that there is much more action in this book. However this author is an atrocious writer. Her dialogue, her characters, everything about these novels is so woefully immature and… *stupid.*

I’m struggling. My kindle says I’m 20% in and all they do is banter and threaten each other, nothing has happened. Like shut the fuck up and DO SOMETHING. I literally don’t give a flying fuck about the endless sarcastic remarks and fake threats.

It’s actually getting good and interesting and we’re into the mystery aspect of the plot. Even though the author makes her characters wholly unbelievable, and her method of writing is excessive, she does create a very cool world.

Yup, I hate Bryce. What a horrendous spoiled brat of a heroine. I can’t stand the “I’m a bad b*tch so screw everyone” trope. The author repeats 163x that she has the body of a goddess but couldn’t bother making her likable.

Trying to power thru because the premise is interesting. The world building has calmed down a little but I still wish there was a glossary for the invented words. So far my favorite character is Ruhn, Hunt has barely done anything and I dislike Bryce. No matter what anyone says to her at all she has an attitude. The whole book has an attitude problem. The story seems to be progressing tho so we’ll see

Struggling to get into this book. Every single page is 98% massive backstory that you can’t keep track of. I don’t even know what the plot is because every page is a history lesson on the world. I genuinely wish there was a glossary of terms included in the book because there are so many invented words I don’t know what is what.
