I skipped chapter half of chapter 11. It’s slavery bad, white man bad, male feminist weirdo talk. I find his writing really bland. I don’t recommend this book, this is the first and last of his I will read. I do not understand what people see in this writing.

I just skipped reading about six pages of the most boring BS and I’ve never done this before ever.

Stephenson will spend page after page telling you nonsense details that become uninteresting and trying. Bukowski used to say, just get to the thing you want to say and Stephenson could have benefited from this advice. In fact I don’t think I’ll read another of his books after this for this exact reason.

The depth of religion is annoying. Seems like endlessly babbling on about Sumerians, Jews, Greeks, it goes on too long and it’s tiring and disappointing.

I almost didn’t make through the first chapter. That was not a good first chapter, 🧀.
