I listened to this book, I did lose track of how we got to a certain location or storyline a couple of times as there are quite a few cases in one book. This could be because of my attention span more than anything else though. I enjoyed being introduced to the new mystery investigators and their distinct characters.

Beautiful. Strong, amusing characters and artistic language. A retreat for your brain

Full on anxiety and sadness from the start. A difficult read about Mungo’s life that could have been very different if he was born somewhere else to someone else.
Only a talented writer like this can make your stomach turn at tiny details.

Truly magnificent, I don’t know how Sarah can write a book in this language which flows and captures your attention. You are never in doubt about what is being said despite decades of changes in language.

A beautifully written book with a healing, peaceful storyline. Translated well with lots of culture carried across. A story can begin anywhere ❤️

I’ve always loved Malorie but the fact that I can see so much of myself in her and the way her brain works and how she communicates makes me adore her even more.
