This might actually be too bleak a book to read on my lunch break…

Reading the Maria Dahvana Headey translation and so far it’s very interesting. Her translator’s note at the start has given me a lot to think about. Sometimes I do wish it committed even harder to the modern “bro-speak” though. It can be a bit jarring when it suddenly throws in a kenning out of nowhere.
