Meh. Read like a movie script. Luckily I never saw the cinema version, but I kept thinking, "I wonder if they made a movie of this because it feels like a movie instead of a story." Many places just dragged, and probably could have benefited from deletion of tons of text while maintaining the storyline.

Many places just dragged, and probably could have benefited from deletion of tons of text while maintaining the storyline.

Fantastic! Took awhile to get through it, but an extremely enjoyable story that intertwines history with fictional characters. Haven't yet read a Herman Wouk book I didn't like.

So far already a better read than American Sniper.

I just cannot find enough superlative adjectives to describe this book. I'm sorry I'm finished!

Truly a sick book!
