Picked this up because I was promised yearning and pining.

So far I am finding the dialogues are a little too long and annoying. Some quips feel forced.

I picked this up because of the hype. Was pleasantly surprised to find out it's a retelling of the myth of theseus and the minotaur. First couple of chapters were great but it has started to go downhill :(
The main protag is male and is in an all-male competition so there's a lot of vulgarity (lockerroom talk 😒) but it got too annoying. I dont want to be reminded every paragraph that i'm in a sausage fest.

Flint is like Red and Bran from the sevenwaters series combined

The author made flint so likable in the first book that i'm scared to think of what she'll do to this character in this book to break our hearts. I can sense sh!t is about to go down and flint will be on the receiving end 😥

Flint reminds me of the ultimate boyfriend material, Lord Commander Hector 😳
