Somewhat perplexed that one would bring up Genesis 3, connect the events to modern-day households, and not discuss the subject of original sin.

Reading to follow along with Kale Zelden's "Defense Against the Dark Arts" lectures.

Hmm, convicting.

Some genuinely sorrowful moments in here, and some greatly amusing ones. I'm amazed at the breadth and the turns.

First time reading/listening to HP, and it's quite the charmer thus far!

"... Belonging to Christ means that there is always a being before whom we find ourselves."

Assigned reading by my new boss, who happens to be the author!

"The perfectability of human life through rational methods of efficiency is the bedrock of modern public values."

Picking this up again to supplement my prayer times.

"We strive to independently define our identity, but we are always dependent upon others for the recognition of that identity."

Brain break after spending 12 of the last 18 waking hours studying for finals

The chapters on prayer, fasting, and study have been launching pads for hours of discussion with our small group in the past 5 weeks.
