This is a cute children’s picture book about five babies who randomly appear on an island, and the book lover who adopts them and takes them in as her own.

This book is written a bit like a biography when the author has to adopt her friend’s dog after the dog’s owner passes away. It outlines how the dog grows on her, but it also goes back and forth between past and present and the author’s relationship with her friend.

Picking this up again after a long, unintentional hiatus!

Gerald has the best of intentions regarding sharing his ice cream, but in the end, it’s piggy who saves the day

Lovely illustrations, but felt the story was too superficial of a summary of her life, especially if you didn’t know more to fill in the details
