now done with the arena part and i also reread the part in catching fire and forgot how detailed the description of the game in the original already was, suzanne didnt have a lot of room in changing a lot of details in hindsight, i think i have to cut her some more slack there

the plot has gotten better, i still dont get why the gamemakers randomly appeared in the arena tho

a bit disappointed that haymitch is so isolated in the arena, thought we would see more of the actual games, hope the movie will do that better

i feel like all the ingredients for a great story are there but the injury conflict is getting a bit boring and repetitive and the two characters feel stagnant, hopefully thats changing soon

damn slowly the random POV switches to random NPCs are really getting unncessary and annoying..

i dont get why Ollie just doesnt make a quick retraining to be a regular pediatrician, that would literally solve all her problems, then she could also easily move to Lara

halfway done with the book and they are still not in the arena, i hate to say it but the pacing could be better

Didnt expect them being lacrosse teammates, it gives an interesting dynamic between the characters

The writing style takes some getting used to with the endless sentences that go on for several lines practically without periods and instead several commas, but that's also what makes the story compelling as it adds a feel more close to life

seems like I always come back to Imogen, obviously in January:D
