It’s going ok. I find the plot intriguing enough but the writing isn’t the most gripping at times. I enjoy a first person POV but some what is said feels repeating. Really hoping things will speed up I’m understanding the true role of the FMC because at 65% I’d like a bit more idk.

Definitely in the “hunger games” zone rn, but I am enjoying it and it’s doing enough that it’s separating itself from those books for me. I hope it continues on this path. Halfway!

This is kind of messed up. I love it. It can be gruesome but then there’s enough dark humour and wittiness that it balances out. Really enjoying this.

Slow reading week so taking my time. Definitely seeing a lot of YA Dystopia tropes bleeding through. Currently it’s feeling very Hunger Games-esque. Hopefully it can step further beyond these tropes to be something unique in its own right.

Not minding how this has started. It definitely feels YA but it reminds me a bit of Red Queen and Throne of Glass to start with. Hopefully it continues to pick up pace as I keep reading.
