Definitely a page turner so overall an enjoyable read but Dave Eggers does not know how to write a believable woman character. Not sure why he didn’t just make the main character a man instead because Mae’s personality and character arc is riddled with the author’s male perspective. If you can put that aside then it’s a pretty engrossing read.
