Ah, I see - they only consider DIRECT descendants “demigods” - that’s wrong, but at least I understand how it works now

How do they determine who is a “demigod” or not. A demigod is literally any child who is a descendent of Gods and humans, yet this guy, who’s a descendent of Zeus is NOT considered a demigod?? I’m confused…

Okay, I’m a little invested even though so much of this is horribly written…

But come on! This girl just went from “I would rather die than let you take my friends” to “I would rather die than let my friends go alone” to “never mind, I don’t need to die. Peace out” to “I need to be with my friends” in the span of like two pages 😂😂😂

Okay, first he kicks Aspen out of the wedding and then he has the audacity to say that she “ran away” when his daughter asks about her. Am I supposed to hate the MMC? Because I’m rooting for his death right now.

I’m already over the “my angle” and “the witch” - just use their names!

Is anyone else being driven insane by the number of italicized words in this book? Not only is there a ton of inner dialogue (most of which isn’t relevant) but it’s also in most characters’ dialogue too!

As an artist myself, I’m more than a little disappointed with this opening - and slightly insulted

I’ve given up on this book and I’m just skimming at this point. It’s long winded and boring. The main characters have barely even been in the same room together and we’re halfway through!

Idk if I’ll be able to finish this book. It’s barely started and it’s already putting me to sleep

Um… this is off to a rough start. I feel like I’m reading an essay. We’re getting intros to all the characters and the setting in the most analytical way possible

I also just realized this is essentially a slutty fan fiction of Wednesday… like obviously so. Don’t think I’m going to like that

I feel like they’re trying too hard to make the MFC seem badass… but I like that she’s different than most MFCs you see in these books. We’ll see how it goes

I am praying that this gets better, but I don’t have high hopes. Not to shit on the writer, but the dialogue and characters are nothing to brag about. It sounds like the writer thinks they are a much better writer than they actually are and my face hurts from cringing at all the “epic” comebacks.

There is so much happening at once and so many characters to keep track of 🥴 I’m not sure I’m following…

The book is pretty good so far, but I’m not buying the one bed situation. It’s completely unrealistic.

I don't know about anyone else, but I could have done without all the secret society stuff... maybe it's leading up to a big reveal later in the series, but I don't see any value in it so far.
