Listening to the audiobook so the progress number is not accurate. This book and the narration are incredible! I was hooked from the first minute. Cannot wait to listen to the whole thing!

The thing I love about this book is that every time a chapter starts a new character and an entire story of theirs starts. And I freaking love that every story I read so far has been immensely amazing.

Man, the world building never ends in this book. Half way through the book and there are more new characters being introduced. Cant wait to get through it and get to the action.
To be fair, its not a very dense read, just a lot of information to remember. Its best to read this book without long breaks; else you forget all the information.

Now familiar with most of the characters status quo. We’re getting into the interconnection between them now.

About 50 pages in and reading this book isnt as hard as I thought it would be. Maybe reading this after the Hyperion series made me worry that its going to be a dense read. But it reads easily and Im excited for the world building so far. Cant wait!

I am thoroughly intimidated by the length of this book but I really want to get into it. I will give it 100-150 pages a chance and asses if I want to continue

Layers upon Layers like an onion. I have to re-read several paragraphs to understand the depth of the theme and workings. Not complaining about it though, just fascinated by the prose and imagination that Dan put into this. Amazing!

Much more gripping than the first one. The story is moving at a faster pace. Can’t wait to see what else is in store

This book took me a minute to warm up to. What with the word vomit of names that are invented for this world. However once the story picks up a little, it started to get really interesting and I was invested. Especially the description of the sights and sounds of the Hyperion world felt like I was right there. Absolutely beautiful so far. Its insane how someone can be so imaginative. Great respect for Dan Simmons!
