Half way through the book and this is it. This might be my most favorite book so far. All the recent readings about Russian history probably has something to do with it. Despite having more context, what really stands out is the prose and the sensitivity with which Pasternak unravels characters. Beautiful beautiful beautiful

Bruh it took 600 pages for it to finally get interesting and now there’s so much happening in the second part. All at the same time. Brandon chill

Unputdownable, insane world building and mystery.

“A man who is chased may be free. A man who chases never is”

Jaw dropping plot twist and I had to take a second to collect myself. This book never lost its charm so far. Incredible incredible!

James Islington is fast becoming one of my favorite fantasy writers. Brilliant, unputdownable, gorgeous imagery. Cant wait to dwell deeper into the story

Listening to the audiobook so the progress number is not accurate. This book and the narration are incredible! I was hooked from the first minute. Cannot wait to listen to the whole thing!

Starting the final part, I am already sad to see the end of this book so close.

Witty, sarcastic, clever - everything about British humor that I love so much. Susanna never missed so far

The thing I love about this book is that every time a chapter starts a new character and an entire story of theirs starts. And I freaking love that every story I read so far has been immensely amazing.

Incredible so far! Susanna Clarke maybe one of my favorite authors. I love everything about it

The journeys have started for all the main characters. It’s slow build but excited to see how the characters intersect

Im really hoping my favorite character is really dead this soon into the book. Really

“Too many scholars thinks of research as purely a cerebral pursuit. If we do nothing with the knowledge we gain, then we have wasted our study. Books can store information better than we can - what we do that books cannot is interpret. so if one is not going to draw conclusions, then one might as well just leave the information in the texts”

Might be my favorite quote!
