Ok, getting back to reading it tomorrow, hopefully it gets good, I’m feeling a bit impatient haha!

I don’t know the page number but a girls grandmother was put under a spell and almost ate her- I’ll go with 3.5 stars right now

Even that event wasn’t super climatic, rather anticlimactic really in my opinion. This could just be because I finished reading a book where they fought a fire demon but hey, who knows.

Granny Torrelli, always so calm, so patient. Couldn’t we all be a bit more calm and patient? Just a thought...

Ok, since I’m not very far into the book yet, let’s figure out how I came to get myself into another book.

Fairytale unit in ELA+me going to the school library 10 minutes before school begins+this book sitting on I don’t even know what shelf=me finding this book and reading it only because it had a fairytale title and cover that looked like it would pique my interest👍

Whelp Mulan is still disguised as Ping and she’s in the underworld trying to find Li Shang’s spirit before morning or um.. something happens. (NO SPOILERS) Mulan and the Shang family guardian, ShiShi, got trapped in a bamboo forest and saved General Li’s ghost from a bamboo stalk. So so far there are ghosts, demons, spirits, guardians, and a very big ruler of the underworld. Love it so far!

I really need to get back to this book! It is great and makes you think a lot, which I love. It talks about, very philosophically, what you let in to your mind and why you shouldn’t let certain things in. This is probably the part that has caught my attention he most.
