The writing of this book is truly making me want to scream. There’s a point in which Brum is lying, says that the people involved in a nefarious scheme were just “doing laundry.” AND THEN THE LINE RIGHT AFTER IS, “but in fact, that was just a cover for their real business. I KNOW???? It is slightly insufferable right now.

There are SO many similes and comparisons that are definitely pretty, but usually unnecessary. It’s okay to write shorter sentences.

This book has picked up a little, but it took soooo long for it to do it.

God, this book is so bad. I really should DNF books more often. I probably will with this one but it like just got kinda good? I don’t even know. The writing is bad and I hate the main character.
