it it is made out of plants it is not parchment, it’s papyrus, because parchment is made from animal skin and is derived from the citys name pergamon so please, use the correct term or think of a new but don’t mix them up. something like parchment grass has never existed and is incorrect by default if it is fantasy or not

I don‘t get the worldbuilding like are these city states? and if so, how far away from each other are they abd how big is the stonewaterkingdom exactly? I am of the impression that it is actually pretty small which makes no sense

Somehow, this has the same vibes as the beginning of the remnant chronicles even though they are completely different stories. But there is something about the combination of a king/ prince, marriage of convenience, an assassin with a tragic past and a princess that I love. Truly underrated for some reason

I can smell the plot twist from a mile away so here is my guess: her kidnapper is actually a fae himself, like the king of the northern kingdom. (maybe it’s also him, I am not quite sure). The northern kingdom is the last refuge for fae in this world. If he is not the king, she is a princess in some kind of way, a prophecised savior

Ah yes, another American author who uses a random german word to name their world. I mean, it´s fitting but I am sorry to disappoint you, it´s not as cool and unique, as you think. Traum just means dream. This takes me out of the story every time. I think it will be way worse in the translated version.

I am in desperate need for a good classic fantasy book after reading a lot of ever the same romantasy. While I like romantasy books I just crave that good old worldbuilding, kings, dragons and everything in between
