Reading this out loud to my 8 year old. We skipped “how the pieces move” but it jumps into helpful material right away. Levy has a very chatty and encouraging tone. There are QR codes at the end of each chapter that flesh out the lessons which has been a great bonus so far.

Reading this aloud with my daughter because she asked for it. I’m reading pages to myself that aren’t kid friendly and hope that’s not too constant. We’ll see how far we get if it’s too adult. She enjoys the lyrical descriptions of how drawn to science and math he was as a child. So far she’s still interested, despite a brutal boarding school and description of the Blitz that I had to work around.
