For goodness sake is this ever about anything? Total snooze.

This is so damn dumb but I just keep on reading it anyway.

I mean I saw the movie Threads so this isn't that interesting or groundbreaking. But here I am, trudging through.

God this thing drags on and on

Just seeing what all the fuss is about.

I want to like this. I just don't. Looking like a DNF.

It would not be accurate to say I hate this book, but I don't love it.

I think Sara Donati desperately wanted to capture the magic of Outlander, after all, there's special guest references, but it just isn't happening. Shoe-horning in 3 main characters doesn't work. Elizabeth is no Claire, Nathaniel is no Jamie.

And yet there must be something decent enough because I haven't just given up. But I kinda wanna.

Actually contemplating not finishing and putting in a Little Free Library. Loved Three Women, hate this. Do I dislike men? Yes. So I thoroughly hate them enough to enjoy this book, or it's lack of quotation marks or the insufferable narrator? No.

this actually really sucks and refuses to get better.
