Man, I love this book!
Tristan is sooo real, and I love him for it! He is killing me with how he reacts to receiving a little gem of "wisdom"! I am crying laughing! 🤣 (And, yes, people are looking at me like I'm crazy...not that I care right now. 😁)

I'm thinking Mbalia is now one of my favorite authors! I NEED to read more from him!

So Celaena finds out about a beast that craves flesh & some ritual to strengthen people, and her first thought isn't about the one person that seems to get bigger each time she sees that person. That same person found next to the creepy ritualistic marks near the beginning of this book.

If my eyes roll any more, I could start a tornado. Right now, I'm hoping for a plot twist that makes her right.

Starting to think Alice can't be taken by force--by you-know-who. Only voluntarily. That's if anyone is truly after her at all. So confused at this point, but still a little intrigued.

Must sleep. Will read more later. Almost 12 hours of reading. Sooo tired...zzzzzzz 😪

Okay. Everything was goining fine--at 1st. Now, I'm kind of upset. Didn't care for the implication about one character's ancestor. (Not a huge focus of the story, but still insensitive) If you're going to be dubbed a traitor, you should be dedicated to something/someone in the first place...BY CHOICE! Hoping for more clarification so I'll keep reading. But if I had to judge this book by what I've read so far,...grrr!
