Omg this book.

Reading this thinking of the Stephen King vibes only to realize Joe Hill is his son 🤦‍♀️

Why did I think this was about vampires? I put this off for a while until I was ready for a paranormal book, but although there is some magic with her healing abilities, it’s mainly just a post-apocalyptic “thriller”, although the thriller part hasn’t really developed yet.

Omg… I did NOT see that coming! This book is so good, I cannot read it fast enough.

I’m already hating this. This book picked up right where the other one left off and in the first 25 pages Diem has had a personality transplant. It’s like the author forgot the progress she made in the first book and threw her into an emotional tornado. In 25 pages there are 2 people trying to give her answers while she cuts them off and then whines internally about not knowing what is going on 🤦‍♀️

I am struggling with the audiobook. Although the premise is interesting and the writing is great, the story is a bit dry and very dense so I am having a tough time keeping track of what is actually happening. Pausing this until I get a hard copy.

Reread ahead of what will be an epic movie release!!

I am so mad at myself for making an impulsive purchase and feel like I need to see it all the way through as punishment. We are stuck in the FMCs head and man is she dull. Every single page is just questions she is asking herself. Also, how many times do we need to be told that her hair is dyed and she doesn’t have the starbursts in her eyes… meaning she is not who we think? 🤦‍♀️.

This book has grabbed me right from the beginning and the side characters are so good I am trying to control myself from immediately buying the box set. Especially since they are on KU!!

I had no idea where this story was going but OMG it is getting there!

I cannot put this down. I had no idea this was a prequel to Divine Rivals! I have heard of it plenty, but have not read it yet. I wonder if this book would hit different having already known the world.

I have already seen the word ‘creeper’ at least 3 times which seems like way too many times for adult professionals 🤦‍♀️

Ellody is infuriating. I understand the enemies to lovers trope, but there has to be some motivations behind that. Her reactions to Wren are so juvenile and unwarranted. I’m trying to give leeway for her being young, but this may be a DNF for me. I hate when a character’s actions are just for the sake of the trope and without any real reason behind it.

Gave up on Kindle and Audible and switched to print. I actually reread everything in print because there has been a LOT of info dumped and I wasn’t sure I was retaining it. This definitely requires my full attention and I am here for it!

Well crap, that gut punch came fast!

I’m not sure I have the mental capacity to understand this book. I’m pretty sure a plane disappeared which is the main point of the book (it feels like Langoliers). But I don’t understand what year that happened in, there’s so much hopping around hopefully it straightens itself out because the premise is fun.
