Genuinely it’s been such a fun read so far, looking forward to the rest. The omegaverse may have swayed me into a fan.

I’m just now coming to realize how obsessed this author is with mentioning pizza in her books. I looked it up and it’s mentioned 78 times in this one alone

God why do the men in this author’s books lowkey suck? I was spoiled with the books I’ve read in the past because these men come off so nice and caring, but as soon as they don’t get what they want they’re throwing around expletives, getting mad, and yelling at the FMC. I wasn’t sure about the whole he fell first trope, I thought I’d be into it bc it’s often the other way around but he’s being mean.

So far both main characters are staunch supporters of just being casual friends with benefits. Not a fake dating romance so already a win, no miscommunication trope, but I’m curious how this will play out. I’d actually love to see a happy ending where they didn’t move away from their initial feelings rather than make them both abandon their beliefs and commit to a relationship, but I doubt it.

I don’t understand how I found myself reading another fake dating romance. Someone please tell me that other genres of books exist. I’m not exactly mad, I’m just confused how there are so many out there.

I’m actually so invested now. Glad I pushed through the awkwardness of the first few pages. Shoutout to Gabrielle for her insight. Another fake dating romance for meee

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about another fake dating romance, but they pull it off well. Expectedly, thirty pages out from the end and here we have a third act breakup. Ngl I wish more stories could be more original, though I’m still keen to see how they wrap this up.

I must not have paid attention to the description of “paranormal” bc wdym they’re wolves? I keep reading something about mates and tails and alphas. Please someone who has read this book tell me if it’s worth it bc things are getting weird..

Someone I talked to pointed out it’s likely Jacob is on the spectrum because what else could explain it. This is definitely not anxiety. And I don’t think they could’ve been more right.

Cute book so far, loving Abby Jimenez’s writing. But not sure how I feel about the fake dating/obvious miscommunication trope. Don’t mind the fake dating, but two characters who are obviously in love with each other but doubt the other persons feelings because they’re too scared to have that conversation is kind of annoying.

After a brief hiatus, I’ve decided to return to this book. There you have it. I’m doing it. So this won’t end up as the first in a long while of putting something on my DNF shelf. Though I’m not super fond of the organizational style the author chose for this particular book—reading dialogue between her and her therapist—it has been eye-opening through the lens of mental health.

I may have to DNF this one. I was really intrigued by the concept, but it’s just notes from her sessions with a psychiatrist. Just the dialogue, with little rambling excerpts to introduce the chapter. I can’t remember the last time I DNF’d a book after actually getting a bit into it, this might be the first, but dear god what lazy writing.
