So far this makes me feel sick and uncomfortable. Can’t put it down!

I already know this is going to be one of my favorite books.

I listened to this and was cracking up at Jeremy Iron's silky British voice repeating "your own personal legend" and the "soul of the world" over and over. I liked this vaguely mystical, folk tale feel of the story, it's definitely written like a fairy tale and it's sweet, but sometimes even wise.

I too have spinster fantasies!

I had to find an even more depressing follow up to A Little Life!!!

Oh no!! No no no!

It's like Middlemarch all over again, except everyone is a gay man. And I can't wait to read it again every time I put it down.
