I think I just got slapped in the face. Real hard! I had to stop and reread the pages like 5 times. Brilliant! Truly brilliant. Didn’t see that one coming.

I'm not sure who I'm rooting for at this moment. The wife that was left or the new-bride-to-be. When I read about how damaging life has been for Vanessa ever since her husband left her, I feel sorry for her. Then I read about Nellie and how sweet and caring she is towards everyone and my heart goes out to her. There's nothing wrong in liking them both right?

“In the future… if by some miracle you ever find yourself in the position to fall in love again… fall in love with me.” GOOSEBUMPS!

Gosh! Why do some books have to be soooooo good?? I can't seem to put this one down. And I need to work!!

I can already tell that this story is going to be an emotional rollercoaster ride. I always look forward to Lily’s Dear Ellen messages. Something about her past with Atlas is beautiful and sad. ❤️

I'm still trying to get into it. Thus far, the book hasn't held my interest. Not even with all the Jane Austen and Darcy references.

Totally blaming Susan too at this point. How could she assume that Amelia was with Paul? Who doesn’t keep an eye on their three-year old??

Everyone’s eyes are always glossy and tear stained. There are a lot of fat salty tears rolling down here and there. And just like Laura, I still don’t have a clue what’s going on! Well, maybe I do. She lost her mind when she lost ‘that precious thing’ of hers. I don’t even know if I’m right or wrong. Can’t wait to to get to the end and find out everything!

Adults poking their tongues out? For a moment I thought I was reading a children’s book.

Perhaps I shouldn’t have reached for this book right after Behind Closed Doors. They are eerily similar. What nightmares am I going to have tonight?! 😫

Thus far, it has been a disturbing read. Few pages in and I didn't like Esther. Now, I'm wondering (hoping) if she'll be the one to put things together. And perhaps even save Grace. Not sure what to expect from this book. But I haven't been able to sleep after reading those few pages. Not sure if it's because I'm disturbed by the whole storyline or because I want to know more.

The 'Hot Person' reference every other page is just too much. It just makes Olivia feel really shallow when I actually like reading the story - to know how the D'Angelo curse is going to be broken.

Okay... so I know this story is about Branwell but I couldn’t help but feel for Tennyson here.

Reading slump is a reader's worst nightmare! My nightmare began 3 years ago. No book was able to hold my attention. I chose different genres, rearranged my bookshelf and purchased more books. Nothing worked! Not until I picked up my kindle that was laying dormant in the drawer for 4 years. Today, I'm glad to say I've read 4 books within a week. If you are like me, have faith. You can do it too. Happy reading!

The fear that Isla feels is so real - I'm feeling it! I put myself in her shoes and I can definitely say the emotions engulfing her are genuine. It has been a page-turner and I can't wait to finish it. I'm sure a twist is coming along. Just can't put my finger on it yet.

65% in and I still find Phillip to be dull. There’s nothing exciting about him. He’s plain boring and I don’t think I’d want to know anyone like that!

It's never too late to pick up books that people have read - even 80 years ago! Books never grow old. That is their beauty. And no matter when you read them, their stories will come to life, transporting you into different worlds.

I wish she'd stop reminding us about her virginity being auctioned off! We get it! I mean, everyone who has read The Pawn (Endgame #1) knows about it. I told myself that if she says it one more time, I'm walking away. Fair enough, I had to walk away. I hope that when I do get back to the book, the repetition stops.

Well.. The beginning reminded me of Cinderella. Let's see how far the similarities go..

Hmm... the first chapter was really confusing. Why even write about a dream and make it seem like it was real, and alternating it between reality? I'm not too sure what to make of the introduction. It rather detracted me from continuing.
