I really hope the story starts to pick up soon because it’s extremely anticlimactic so far.

I’m having a hard time getting into this book. I like the present day scenes, but the ones in the past seem aren’t grabbing my attention.

It’s taking me a while to get into this bookZ I hope it picks up soon.

The author mentioned in the Preface that this book reads like a novel, but I think it reads more like a historical account or text book.

Giving this book another chance. I just hate how it jumps around so much. I wish it flowed better.

I love this line: “We are all drowning slowly in the tide of our opinions, oblivious that we are taking on water every time we open our mouths.”

I’m having a hard time getting into this book. The dialogue almost reads more like an interview.

I’m almost halfway through the book and I’m not really seeing much substance to the story. It’s kinda repetitive too.

I don’t think I’ve ever smiled so much while reading a book.

I thought this book would focus more on the “forgotten child” but I feel like it’s mostly been about Holly and her past coming back to haunt her. I really want to find out more about this kid that mysteriously showed up in her car.

I wish there were a little more to the story. So far it’s been pretty much just detectives questioning everyone.

As much as I’m enjoying this book, there are quite a few parts that drag on and are repetitive.

Now Tate is back and Chase is engaged. Poor Kya can’t catch a break!

Ok now I hate Tate! I get that he wants a different life than what Kya has, but stop being such a coward and say goodbye for good.

I am loving Tate! He is so sweet and patient with Kya.

The first chapter drew me in, but I find the story to be dragging now. Going to stick it out though because I heard great things about this book.

DNF. I really enjoyed the first two books, but this one is a bit too f*caked up for my taste. Not into the whole incest factor.

Ugh, it’s not getting any better. Struggling to finish this.

I’m more than 1/3 of the way into this, and I’m really hoping the story picks up soon. Pretty anti-climactic so far.
