I’m living in the woods again which means that I’m back to absolutely devouring books

This is so good so far

I haven’t been reading a lot so far this year because I keep starting books that I end up not liking. Luckily I got an alert from Libby that this book was added to my library and instantly checked it out. Reading is so fun when you find books you like!

I love anything related to Greek mythology centering the women’s perspectives, so by default I love this book. However, I wish there was more dialogue and slightly fewer dramatic descriptions. I also am a Medea apologist which clearly this author is not.

I’m overall enjoying this but I feel like it’s wandering too far from the main plot line and now I’m not quite sure why anything’s happening and what the events have to do with Harriet’s detective work.

I don’t think that this book is going to be particularly helpful in my journey to overcome my sometimes overwhelming anxiety about dying a miserable death in the outdoors.

I’m currently trying to read one a day while I’m at my lodge!
