truly can't say this for any other character but it's quite physically impossible not to read everything armand says in assad's exact diction. we are so so so stupidly lucky to have him playing such a beautifully complex weird guy.

maybe it's for the best that when i say the words "malachiasz czechowicz" no one will ever know who i'm talking about ever again. we love you sardonic desolate bisexual love interest whose powers are at odds with the orphan protagonist's upbringing

kind of already really frustrated by the entire plot seeming to hinge upon oak choosing not to simply state his intentions as someone who physically cannot lie. the same can be said for the original trilogy but in this case oak would lose literally nothing and gain everything he wants by admitting things he's already accepted himself out loud...

i think it's for the best actually that anything new i learn about armand from here on out will involve seeing assad zaman's beautiful face

i don't want to actually write this in a review because it's an insane thing to say but i truly think you can and will get more out of just reading about victor vale

reading this book is the real hell

i'm just so ridiculously fascinated by this book's existence it still doesn't feel real. having to write in a scene where one of two main characters has his hair bleached because people have (apparently incorrectly) drawn fanart of him blond for almost a decade is INSANE.

people complain about this NOT HAVING ENOUGH LESTAT?

reading from the pov of a normal, well-adjusted person in this series is so incredibly jarring. for various reasons i am so grateful for the choice. don't know if i could deal with uninterrupted jean being miserable for almost 400 pages
