Up until chapter 15, this book was very interesting and while certainly disappointing and hard to accept at points, not having lived through most of it, it was easy to have emotional distance from the ideals that were being espoused by influential Christians. The chapter on Trump robbed me of this emotional distance. Seeing the 2016 election through this lens makes a lot of sense and yet it is still so confounding.
