A man I've needed to get to know better. D.H. Lawrence's discoverer and in some ways reminds me of myself with his big appetites for romantic love, good food, and writing that works.

Thus far, with two stories under my belt, am enjoying this warm journey into the unknown.

Intellectual ecstatics, these guys. First time reading in many moons. Lots of Rand and libertarian references.

As the end nears, the fragmentation of the excerptions increases - but still there is excellence in every paragraph.

Getting a bit sketchy, this abridgement, as we move toward Freud's later years. Still, very valuable - what a fascinating personality, again I must say much richer than the stern public perception of him.

Freud had a lot more going on in him than I knew. Much more fluid and dynamic, internally. His system itself is eccentric, but he himself is a titanic personality.
