Kinda woo woo, but makes some interesting points about America's disinterest in public grief unless it's for someone famous. (Also, people don't ask for permission to make your grief a spectacle.) But like all of its peers, reiterates that grief is love without any guidance as to where to go but Just Accept It and Be Grateful.

This is the second worst book I’ve read this year.

This book is ridiculously sad, and the blurbs lied.

This is somehow devastatingly sad, incredibly accurate, and not well-written? And I love it. And I'm too close to it to hear criticism. What an odd situation.

I wish more cookbooks were like this.

I have an unpopular opinion: I feel bad for Alex.

1) the disconnect from reality is astounding. I've never seen such a nimble massaging of the truth as in this book.
2) I'm going to be Ree Drummond for Halloween and all I need to do is wear a pair of Anne Klein jeans.
