Just finished chapter 1. It's quite an easy read, not the worst writing I've seen in a book written by a doctor, but you can just tell it was written by a old-er white male gp who feels like they are better than everyone else. Although I do appreciate the general NHS critique, the lack of understanding of hospital staff work circumstances is astounding.

I'm not gonna lie
I kinda hate Jude so far and it's not getting better yet
We're just seeing too much of his flaws and not enough of his qualities for me to grow to like him. I just pity him, because most his incredible selfishness is due to his deeply traumatic past, and I get that, but ffs it's infuriating what he makes himself and his friends go through in the name of "selflessness".
