Hmm.. sometimes King writes something so privileged it makes me fully appreciate that he hasn't been broke since 70s. And good on him, but I'm shocked that not a single person at Scribner knew you can't have a "wad" of food stamps. As a former broke mom circa 2012, it was as odd as reading "he found wads of credit with the mastercard logo on it." What am I even supposed to be imagining?
