alex de la corte’s piece is simply one of the most beautiful things i’ve ever experienced. marisol really is one of those artists that made me foundationally change and i couldn’t quite figure out why other than i walked out of marisol:retrospective not quite the same with the fragmentations of self and juxtapositions and meaning making and these iterations of analyses of living… her work mean so much to me

This exhibition honestly changed my life I remember being unmoored by the work the way Marisol makes wood look so malleable the way she plays with boundaries of her mediums her expressions she's so amazing and reading these essays has just been so cathartic? That people love her as much as I do and that there's so much to her work to analyze god she's just so amazing I'm just. Gosh Marisol... I love you
